Bobby's new redhead friend wears sweater vests tucked into his slacks. He tempts Bobby with "Come over to my house and let me show you something. I have more fun than a circus," but what he's really pushing is a book called Boy's Fun Book.
"Wow! I'm going to send for a copy today. It's just what I've been wishing for!"

"Come over to my house and let me show you something. I have more fun than a circus" Depending on who is saying that it could sound very creepy or kind of exciting....
I would like a clearer explanation from the child as to what "mischief" he got into, and why he was crying about it.
Mischief = Was caught looking at Daddy's bodybuilding magazines in the bathroom by Mother, crying because Mother told him "you'll never grow up to be like Ike!"
